The Småland-based company is the leading manufacturer of sit and stand desks and office tables in Scandinavia and produces everything locally in the village of Vaggeryd from sustainable materials, including Swedish steel (currently 25 percent recycled), powder coated and assembled in Sweden. The High-End stands are based on existing Swedstyle technology that has been cast in new minimalistic shapes, while the boards, which are delivered from a local manufacturer, consist of a tabletop in pigmented ash or high-pressure laminate.
“For us, a history of working continuously with suppliers in our local area to benefit the Swedish industry, but above all be able to ensure good quality from raw materials, is in our DNA, says Julia Alfelt, product manager and designer of High-End by Swedstyle. The series launches in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, a time that has spurred on digital transformation and remote offices.
“The pandemic has created a new way for us humans to live and work. Based on restrictions, we had to replace the physical meetings and bring them into a digital platform,” Alfelt comments.
As a result, we are adapting to new ways of working, something which has even shown to be a success for many companies. “A future of working from home doesn’t have to be bad, as long as you prepare for it and adjust your office in your own home,” Alfelt says.
