Stylist and set design duo Jannicke Kråkvik and Alessandro D’Orazio have their base in Oslo but work all over Scandinavia with a number of different brands creating their images, shop displays and exhibitions. Most recently they did the new set design for the Kasthall shop in Stockholm, exhibiting their new carpets collection for Stockholm design week. We asked them about interiors, furniture and general consumption in the year to come.

Swedish stylist and set designer Daniella Witte has turned her need for a calm environment into a lifestyle, operating her business from an idyllic farmyard in Lomma in the south of Sweden. With a few small houses for rent during summer, an old stable turned into a studio for hire and and a weekend retreat by the water, she combines styling and interior work with small scale property development with her husband. Later this year she is also launching a book in collaboration with Ulrica Lindström celebrating the simple pleasures of food. We asked her to share her thoughts on feel good interiors and routines.

Norwegian furniture company Vestre has launched a series of urban outdoor furniture designed by Note Design Studio. The collection Plinth which consists of outdoor bench and table, is made with the Vestre’s strong sustainable philosophy in mind.

Stylist, set designer and interior decorator Sophia Bratt has a background in textile and pattern cutting, and worked as a milliner before changing direction to work with interiors. For The New Era she has created a beautiful still life story where she has sown tapestries from leftover textile, shot by photographer Osman Tahir.

British designer Faye Toogood is about to launch the studio’s first dedicated collection of homeware designs, aptly named Toogood Homeware. With over two years in the making, it will be available for sale in May, and follows the recent launch of the Fudge chair under the studio label. The new range is split between two capsules; Dough, which includes mugs, jugs, bowls and a platter, and Plough, two geometric throws. Highlighting the common ground of kneading in both baking and pottery, the ceramic pieces are hand shaped in the Toogood studio before being cast in earthenware and produced in Portugal.

The result is a series of stunning images for Dux.

The global mobility brand Lynk & Co has opened its first showroom in central Gothenburg, west coast of Sweden – also the home of older sibling, Volvo. It follows the opening in Amsterdam with plans of launching more showrooms across Europe. The space is not an ordinary car showroom, rather a community hub where everything down to the cutlery, sofa and chairs are for sale.
